Google Pay Launches Tap-to-Pay Feature. This feature allows the user to make the transaction with their cards. On Monday, Google announced this feature to add on Google Pay. Both Android and iOS users will have this feature on their phone.
To make the payment, all the users can use this feature on NFC-enabled POS terminals as well as to pay for online merchants.
Google and Visa are now working together to roll-out this brand new feature. If we talk about the current scenario, then this feature is already available to the SBI and Axis Card Users. Based on this, many more banks are looking forward to give this feature to their users.
To use this feature, one doesn’t need to share the details of their credit or debit cards physically. Sajith Sivanandan who is Business Head: Google Pay and NBU of India said that,
“Company is committed to giving all the offers for most secure payment experience to the users. With the help of tokenisation, users can use their debit card or credit card with tokens, which also eliminates chances of fraud. We hope that this feature will help users to encourage the users for safe and secure transaction. Apart from this, it will also help the merchants to expand their business via both of the medium online as well as offline.”
First time, to enable this feature users will have to set-up the details of the credit or debit card followed by the One-Time-Password by their respective banks. After the successful registration, one can use this feature.

How to setup?
To enable this Tap-to-Pay feature, you have to add credit or debit card details only once. Here how can you do that: Go to Settings -> Payment methods -> Add card.
After adding all the details, you will get the OTP from the bank for the activation of the card. After the registration, you can use this Tap-to-Pay feature for transactions.
